Cokebusters Attends ADIPEC 2024

The ADIPEC exhibition and conference has become an annual tradition of ours. Believed to be the world’s largest energy conference, it’s our big opportunity to reconnect with partners, affiliates and valued customers and we always look forward to learning from the energy industry’s leading experts, pioneers and innovators.

ADIPEC is an enormous event which an estimated 200,000 people attending and over 2000 exhibitors!  Ahead of our third consecutive show, Cokebusters Managing Director James Phipps, Operations Director Charles Bushnell, NDT R&D Engineer Chris Peyton and Commercial Manager David Phipps, had travelled to Abu Dhabi ready to showcase our leading mechanical cleaning and tube inspection technology.

Courtesy of the Energy Industries Council (EIC) Cokebusters exhibited in the UK Pavilion which represented 126 member companies.  The team felt very proud to be amongst such forward-thinking enterprises, all originating from the British Isles.

The event got off to a great start and on day one the team received a visit from HM Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Edward Hobart CMG, as well as the CEO of the EIC, Stuart R Broadley HonFEI, and representatives from ADNOC Group.

Over the course of the week they have enjoyed reconnecting with existing clients and learning about new challenges we can assist them with going forward.  They also appreciated the opportunity to answer new face to face enquiries from representatives of various energy production companies in the GCC, which is a key growth region for Cokebusters.  As well as visitors from UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and KSA, the team also spoke with interested parties from North Africa, Indonesia, Malaysia and China.

Visitors were interested in learning more about methods and approach for cleaning and inspecting complex heater configurations, which our experts were happy to explain.  However the persistent questioning centred around our solutions for “unpiggable pipeline” inspection, especially following recent trials in the region – the details of which we look forward to sharing with you soon!

All in all the conference led to a very exciting exchanges of ideas, some great collaboration opportunities and the team will come away fired up to action what they’ve learned at ADIPEC… indeed, we’ve already begun planning for our 2025 exhibition!
