Two Reasons to Celebrate! Cokebusters Receives The King’s Awards for Innovation and International Trade

Cokebusters is thrilled to announce that we have been selected as one of 252 organisations to be recognised with a prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise and one of only 5 companies to be recognised with two awards.

Established in 1965 under HRH Queen Elizabeth II, The King’s Award is the UK’s most prestigious business award scheme.  It was designed to recognise and celebrate the success of exciting and innovative businesses which are leading the way with pioneering products or services and showing their commitment to excellent sustainable development practices.  An exacting selection process ensures that the awards are only granted to businesses which maintain the highest standards of propriety.

With a passion for engineering and continued investment into research and development in a very niche industry, Cokebusters has become a world leader in mechanical cleaning and piping inspection operations.  Now in a phase of growth and expansion, we believe the company has a bright future ahead.

Having been awarded The Queen’s Award for International Trade in 2018, this is the second time Cokebusters has been recognised for its exports and commitment to fostering positive relationships with customers all over the world.  To also receive the King’s Award for Innovation means a great deal to us, as we’ve always endeavoured to be at the cutting edge of our technology.  Innovation runs through the very heart of our business.  These awards recognise our achievements so far, as well as the ongoing commitment of the business to innovate, develop and continue to grow within a demanding global market.

On making the announcement John Phipps MBE, Chairman of Cokebusters commented:
“It really is something for the company be awarded two such prestigious awards!  We’re a relatively small enterprise founded in a quiet corner of North Wales, but we’ve always been ambitious and punched above our weight because we believe in the quality of our products and services.  I feel very proud of all our employees who come to work each day, roll up their sleeves, strive, problem-solve and push the boundaries of what’s possible in our field to deliver the best service possible to our customers.”

A presentation ceremony will take place at the Cokebusters Technology Centre by the Lord-Lieutenant in the coming weeks, followed by a reception at Windsor Castle in July.
