Welcoming a New Influx of Talent at Cokebusters UK

September marks the start of turnaround season in the energy industry and so we routinely take the Summer to ensure the company is fully resourced to meet its customers’ needs. We ensure our machinery and equipment are prepared and ready for site works, but we also look at our teams. At Cokebusters we believe that our strength lies in our people. As the industry evolves and the challenges faced by our clients grow ever more complex, investing in the next generation of expertise is how we future-proof our capabilities and uphold the standards that set us apart.

This summer, we were delighted to welcome six new recruits to our UK Technology Centre in North Wales:

• William Pickard – Design Engineer (joined July)
  Bringing expertise in CAD, William is already contributing to the development of our specialist Double Pumping Units and bespoke, patented pig designs.

• William Cooper – Workshop Technician (joined August)
  With strong electrical and mechanical automotive skills, William will play a key role in building and refurbishing our Double Pumping Units.

• Joseph Hornby – Operations Technician (joined July)

• James McHugh – Operations Technician (joined July)

• Steven McDonald – Operations Technician (joined July)
  Our new Operations Technicians will receive extensive theoretical and practical training on our very specialist mechanical decoking process – strengthening the team that delivers our core services to ensure our clients receive safe, efficient and reliable operations on-site.

• Steven Wheway – Inspection Technician (joined September)
  Steven adds further depth to our inspection services, helping us provide world-class integrity data that supports smarter decision-making for our clients.

Together, these six individuals bring a blend of skills, experience and fresh ideas that enhance every stage of our “design–build–deploy” model – from CAD design and workshop engineering through to on-site delivery and inspection.

While their roles are diverse, they join us as part of one team – a close-knit family business that continues to grow globally without losing the values upon which it was founded.
