Hooked on Giving Back: Cokebusters USA Supports the Sabine Showdown

The Cokebusters USA team swapped Smart Pigs for fishing rods this month to join the Sabine Showdown Fishing Tournament in Port Arthur, Texas – an annual event that raises funds for student programs, facility upgrades and scholarships at Lamar State College Port Arthur.

Invited by our valued client Motiva, a main sponsor of the tournament, our Houston crew proudly provided event sponsorship and fielded a team for a day of friendly competition and community spirit.

Festivities began with a lively Captains’ Dinner, where anglers gathered to swap stories and size up the competition!

Having had some success during practise outings, our team headed out the following morning in pursuit of the coveted heaviest trout prize. Let’s just say the fish had other ideas once the rest of the teams arrived.

While we didn’t land a trophy, we reeled in something far more meaningful:

• Strengthened ties with our client community

• A fun and memorable day of camaraderie on the water

• The chance to help fund scholarships and vital campus improvements for Lamar students
