Celebrating Operator Promotions at Our UK Technology Centre

Each summer at Cokebusters, we take time to do more than maintain our fleet – we invest in our people. The quieter turnaround months are the perfect opportunity to blend the practical learning gained on site with the technical knowledge needed to excel in our highly specialised field of mechanical cleaning (decoking) and intelligent pigging inspection of fired-heater and process tubes.

Over the past year, we’ve reshaped and strengthened our bespoke development programme and competency framework, so that it reflects the skills required to support our clients today and in the future. This framework ensures that every operator’s progress is measured not only by time served, but by proven capability, safety leadership and technical expertise.

This week we’re proud to recognise seven colleagues who have successfully passed rigorous assessments and examinations to achieve well-deserved promotions:

• Grade 3 → Grade 2: These operators have developed the skills and adaptability to work effectively across a wide variety of assets and environments:

• Grade 2 → Grade 1: Our more experienced operators, now at the top tier, demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities and provide enhanced project support, guiding teams through complex or first-of-a-kind challenges.
