A Word From Our UK HSE Manager

12 September 2024

At Cokebusters, health and safety aren’t just priorities, they’re part of who we are.  Our HSE Managers in the UK and the United States work closely together to ensure the standards are universal.  Our commitment to maintaining a safe, clean and efficient working environment is driven by a collective effort that involves every member of our team wherever they are in the world.

As the company continues to grow, we have further formalised our health and safety procedures to ensure we consistently resource, support and deliver our world-class mechanical cleaning and inspection services in a safe and responsible manner.  From our Technology Centre in Chester, HSE Manager Glynn Clarke shares some of the recent efforts we have been making to further improve our processes to elevate standards and lower risk at home and on site.

Cokebusters HSE Manager discusses the company's ethos on health and safety.

Recently, we have taken significant steps to enhance our safety culture. We’ve introduced more rigorous workshop cleanliness protocols and advanced waste management practices.  These changes have already had a noticeable positive impact on the safety and efficiency of our production processes.  However, what truly sets us apart is our belief that the best ideas come from those on the front lines.  The input from our employees has been pivotal in shaping these improvements and their insights are driving our continued progress.

We’re also in the process of developing a new and improved training plan that will further equip our team with the increased knowledge and skills to uphold and drive forward our high safety standards. This plan is being built around real-world feedback from our employees, ensuring it meets their needs and reflects the realities of their work.

What I find most rewarding in my role is seeing how our collective dedication makes a tangible difference every day.  At Cokebusters safety is a shared responsibility and it’s this teamwork that makes us stronger and safer together.
