The Women Behind Cokebusters USA

22 January 2026

The energy sector – from oil refineries to pipelines and process facilities – has traditionally been a male-dominated industry. But behind every successful operation is a team of people whose expertise, organisation and commitment keep everything moving.

At Cokebusters USA, that backbone is our front-office team. Today, we’re proud to shine a light on the three women whose work underpins our day-to-day operations, supports our field crews and ensures our clients receive the service they expect, every time.

A Front Office That Keeps the Business Moving

While much of our work takes place on site, in refineries and pipeline networks across North America, none of it would be possible without the coordination, planning and financial control that happens behind the scenes.

From managing complex billing cycles and payroll to coordinating travel, training and logistics for crews operating in fast-moving environments, our front office plays a critical role in the success of every project.

That responsibility sits with Whittney Guidry, Yessica Montenegro and Lizbett Gonzalez, whose professionalism, teamwork and attention to detail keep Cokebusters USA running smoothly.

Whittney Guidry – Finance Manager

As Finance Manager, Whittney is the steady hand behind the financial health of Cokebusters USA. Her role spans billing, cash flow management, payroll, benefits and the financial administration that comes with supporting oil and gas operations – all within an industry where accuracy and timing are essential.

Working with multiple clients, vendors and service providers means her days are full of moving parts, yet Whittney handles each one with confidence and clarity. She brings structure and calm to complex processes, ensuring both the business and our people are supported.

Outside the office, Whittney is a devoted wife and mother of three boys. Her warm, outgoing personality makes her a familiar and welcoming presence – not just within the office, but for anyone visiting or working with the team.

Lizbett Gonzalez – Operations Coordinator

As Operations Coordinator, Liz is at the centre of our field activity. Her role involves coordinating badging, training, travel, logistics and scheduling, while responding to constantly shifting job timelines and operational demands.

Working closely with crews and management, Liz ensures that people and equipment are in the right place at the right time. It’s a demanding role that requires organisation, adaptability and strong problem-solving skills – all of which she delivers daily.

Liz is also a mom and someone who thrives under pressure, consistently finding solutions where others might see obstacles. Her ability to stay focused and organised in fast-moving situations is critical to keeping operations on track.

Yessica Montenegro – Administration Assistant

Yessica is the definition of reliability and versatility. As Administration Assistant, she plays a vital role in keeping the administrative side of our operations running efficiently.

From managing billing and invoicing for service providers and vendors to ensuring our decoking fleet is supported from an administrative standpoint, Yessica’s work touches nearly every part of the business. She is also the person who steps in without hesitation – covering responsibilities during busy periods, holidays or absences and supporting both Whittney and Liz whenever needed.

A dedicated mom with a calm, steady approach, Yessica brings consistency and positivity to the office. Her willingness to help wherever required makes her a true jack-of-all-trades and an essential part of the team.

Stronger Together

What sets this team apart is not just individual capability, but how seamlessly they work together. They support one another, communicate openly and step in whenever needed.  This creates an office environment that is professional, welcoming and highly effective.

Their teamwork is the heartbeat of our front office and their contribution has a direct impact on the success of our operations in the field.

Spotlight on the women at Cokebusters USA

The trans-Atlantic collaboration between Cokebusters and Cokebuster USA is better than it has ever been and that is in no small part down to the positive working relationship Whittney, Liz and Yessica have with our administrative team in the UK.

Cokebusters Director of Finance, Janet Mottrom, has been with the company since it was first established in 2005 and has visited the Cokebusters USA premises in Houston many times over the past 2 years.  She says: “The girls over there work so hard and I look forward to seeing them every time I visit Texas!  They’re always so warm and welcoming and I enjoy spending time with them, both professionally and personally.

In an industry where the spotlight often falls on equipment and site activity, it’s important to recognise the people behind the scenes and especially the women without whose expertise and dedication Cokebusters USA simply wouldn’t be where it is today.
