Join Our Team

Cokebusters has come a long way in two decades. That journey has been made possible by the expertise, tenacity and commitment of our people. As we move into our third decade of growth, we are looking for new team members who share our values and want to be part of what comes next.

The CB Way

We are a family-owned, entrepreneurial business that has grown into a global engineering company. As we have scaled, we have been deliberate about protecting the culture that defines us. That commitment is formalised in The CB Way — a framework of behaviours and values that applies to everyone at Cokebusters, from the Board to the newest recruit.

The CB Way is built around eight principles:

  • Excellence Focused — We get it right first time, investing in equipment, preparation and people to ensure quality without compromise.
  • Results Driven — Our clients depend on us. We respond with urgency and accountability.
  • Innovative — From Smart Pig development to specialist Double Pumping Units, innovation is central to who we are.
  • Flexible — Complex sites and evolving scopes require agility. We adapt constructively and positively.
  • Flexible — Complex sites and evolving scopes require agility. We adapt constructively and positively.
  • Communicative — Operators, engineers and support teams work in alignment. Clear communication underpins both safety and performance.
  • Team Focused — We support one another. No successful operation is achieved alone.
  • Trustworthy — Integrity is non-negotiable, whether in safety decisions, client relationships or day-to-day conduct.
  • Performance Oriented — We pursue continual improvement in technology, process and personal development.

If these values resonate with you, we’d like to hear from you.

What We Do And What That Means for You

Cokebusters specialises in mechanical cleaning, intelligent in-line inspection and integrity management for the global energy sector. Much of what we do is highly specialist. We are regularly engaged to clean and inspect systems previously considered unpiggable and when we succeed, it is because of the creativity, expertise and determination of our people.

We operate across two locations — Chester, UK and Houston, USA — and our field teams
work on client sites around the world. Roles in our Decoking and Inspection teams typically involve working away from base for approximately 25–30% of the time, usually in one to two week stints, though this varies by season and project.

We do not expect candidates to arrive with experience in our specific field. What we do
is genuinely specialist, and we provide thorough training and development programmes.
For engineering roles, some background in mechanical or electrical engineering is an advantage. For inspection roles, familiarity with computing, non-destructive testing or data analysis is beneficial.

Where We Are Growing

We continue to expand across our Decoking and Inspection teams, as well as our R&D, Health & Safety, Workshop, Commercial, HR and Marketing functions. If you are technically minded, practically capable and share our commitment to doing things properly, we want to hear from you.
